SUMMARY

Very well presented early 3000 Mk1 four-seater with its original ‘side-shift’ gearbox.

DESCRIPTION

• The Mk1 3000 featured front disc brakes, wire wheels as standard and a more powerful engine
• Fitted with a 124bhp, 2,912cc BMC C-Series and a 4-speed box with overdrive
• This is an original, UK-supplied, right-hand drive 2+2 delivered from the Cape to the Donald Healey Motor Company Showroom on 26/07/1960
• It’s an early car with the ‘side-shift’ gearbox and side screens and was optioned from new with overdrive and wire wheels
• Very well presented in Colorado Red over black with a black vinyl interior, black hood, black tonneau and chrome wires
• Restored during the 2000/2001 period by Ellis Restorations of Northampton, documented and with photographic evidence

An attractive, low-mileage, four-door 1300 Mk III Saloon in a rare colour.

DESCRIPTION

• The third generation of the ADO 16 was introduced in 1972 and remained in production until June 1974
• Powered by BMC’s ubiquitous 1,275cc transverse four-cylinder generating 59bhp with a 4-speed gearbox and front-wheel drive
• This four-door saloon is finished in the rare colour combination of Black Tulip with a red vinyl interior and has been upgraded with electronic ignition, a halogen lamp conversion and inertia-reel seat belts
• The indicated mileage of 36,700 is supported by its original ‘Passport To Service’ booklet with 14 stamps, the last in December 1989
• Recently, the 1300 has benefitted from an oil service with new plugs and leads, a new carpet and has had the coolant system flushed
• Supplied with its Heritage Trust Certificate, some old MOT’s and invoices, along with a copy of the RAC Pearsons Car Servicing manual and some old Austin Club magazines

A rare surviving Austin 1100 Mk II with just over 18,000 miles and one keeper, this classic is of a fantastic time warp condition, presented virtually exactly as it was when leaving the factory.

DESCRIPTION

• Amalgamated Drawing Office Project 16 was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and styled by Pininfarina
• Introduced in 1967, the Austin 1100 Mk II benefited from a slightly wider front grille and smoother tail light fitting
• According to its Heritage Trust Certificate, this example was built at Morris Motors in Cowley and finished in Tartan Red with a black vinyl interior
• Despatched to F.G Smith Motors of Ilford on 12/01/1968 and first registered on 09/03/1968
• The car was retained by its one and only keeper until recently, last being used we believe in 1991/2 then duly dry stored
• Found as part of a deceased estate so sadly there is no paperwork, however the general condition of the car suggests that the indicated mileage of 18,211 may well be correct
• Recently treated to new tyres, an oil change and new plugs and will have a fresh MOT for the sale
